Jim and Tamra have been very busy throughout 2005 and are preparing for a very
busy '06!
- They completed a very successful run of shows at the Acme Comedy Theater with The Really Spontaneous Theatre Company in their brand new live show, Rock-U-Mockumentary! This totally improvised show was a comedic look at television rock documentarys such as those seen on MTV's Behind The Music.
This year also marked the release of Homeland Security Park, an hilarious audio satire, written and directed by Jim and starring Tamra and the other members of the RSTC! Watch out for more amazing work from this talented group.
- Jim did a very successful run of a new one man show, Jimpressions, also at the Acme. Geoff Levin of Celestial Navigations fame lent his musical expertise, and Tait Ruppert helped to direct the show, which will be back in February at the Acme. (Check out the sample from the show on the Homepage.)
- Jim lent his voice to many projects; commercials for clients such as Pacificare, for which he supplied the voice of William Frawley, TV's Fred Mertz, and as the voice of the Honda Element automobile in TV spots where the Element interacts with various animals. (Yes, Jim's Element voice does sound a lot like Napoleon Dynamite... )
- Jim also shot commercials for Mortgage.com, Cingular Wireless, and informercials for SBC Yahoo! and SCS Software.
- In animation, Jim provided numerous voices and impressions for The Boondocks, now airing on Adult Swim. He also did many characters for Nickelodeon's anime series, Avatar, and Seth Green's wacky Robot Chicken for Adult Swim. (Trivia: Seth and Jim were reunited almost twenty years after they worked together doing characters for Rankin/Bass' cartoon show "The Comic Strip". Seth was about ten at the time, but already very talented.)
- Jibjab Media's animated shorts Second Term, Big Box Mart and 205 also featured Jim as the lead singing character voice, often as President Bush or others in the world political scene, and sometimes as an overzealous Walmart employee. In other web animation, you can hear Jim playing several roles in Nancy Cartwright's NASCAR cartoon, The Kellys.
- In games, Jim's performances can be heard on Everquest, Lord of The Rings, Hit Man, Syphon Filter, Madagascar and Robots, to name but a few.
- And the next audio book from Galaxy Press, The Ultimate Adventure by L. Ron Hubbard, will be released in February of 2006. Jim directed and performed in this multi-cast, fully produced adventure novel, with music by 13 time Grammy winning jazz legend, Chick Corea. The audio book also stars Marisol Nichols, Bob Caso, Tait Ruppert and R.F. Daley. This marks the fifth audio book for Galaxy that Jim has directed and performed in.

In June, 2006, friends told us they'd seen Jim on CNN in a
report about Jibjab, the web company that created "This Land" and a half
dozen other brilliant Internet cartoons, many of which Jim was fortunate
to provide voices for.
Well, we missed it, but got a link to a site that is carrying the report
in full. You will see Jim in it, and you'll meet Gregg and Evan
Spiridellis, our friends and collaborators and hear them talk about the
exciting things going on now in the Jibjab universe.
Check it out; the link is below. Hope you enjoy it!

- Doug Drenkow, producer ofr "Barry Gordon From Left Field", wrote us in July, 2006:
“Jim, we want to thank you -- and the president (and the invasive Mr. Gore) -- for your terrific interview today! The most entertaining segment we've had. The summary and podcast of today's show is now in our archives, http://barrygordonfromleftfield.com/archives/index.html. It's good to round out our show, which necessarily tackles the tough issues, with some lighter -- yet still substantial -- fare. You think well "on your feet" and that made Barry's job a lot easier. We hope to do it again!
Thanks, Doug”
